Kyu Furukawa Garden was originally the domain of Mutsu Munemitsu. but later became the property of the Furukawa family. Ogawa Jihei sometimes known as Niwashi Ueji designed the garden renowned for its beauty. The Furukawa garden is regarded as an example of Japanese gardens of the Taisho Period.
