The Thai Hua Museum is one of the best maintained Sino-Portuguese buildings in Phuket Town. This building was once stage a Chinese language school. These days it is used as a museum and a function hall The Thai Hua Museum was given an award in the category of public buildings by the Siam Architect Association for its outstanding conservation of architecture. The museum is under the management of The Kusonsongkhroh Foundation, otherwise known in Chinese as Lok Xian Kok, a charitable organization with a long history dating to the tin mining era in Phuket. It was set up by a group of local wealthy immigrant Chinese.
